Constance Williams Gallery "Second Saturday" show opening Sat, Dec 10, 1-4 pm

Image001

Constance Williams Working Artist Gallery's five in-studio artists give back to their River Arts District neighbor, Asheville Greenworks, for their "Second Saturday/Collect Art Asheville" show for December, "Art = Beauty", with a donation of $275.00 to sponsor one month of their local beautification program, "Green the RAD". Opening reception and artist meet-and-greet is Saturday, December 10, from 1 pm - 4 pm.  The show runs through January 11. Show and main gallery are open seven days a week, from 11 am - 4 pm.

Socially-conscious Asheville is known not only for its thriving art scene, but also for its significant amount of intra-community support. Many people instantly associate Asheville GreenWorks, our area's local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, with Susan Roderick and tree planting. But they may not know that this hard-working non-profit also works tirelessly with partner organizations, along with thousands of volunteers, to tackle all sorts of projects like cleanup of watershed zones and removing invasive plant species, as well as educating our community about opportunities to help keep Buncombe County "clean and green". Because the River Arts District is in an industrial area, Asheville Greenworks saw the need to make it more user- and visitor-friendly, giving birth to the  program "Green the RAD", where they collaborate with partners to "keep up neglected and underutilized outdoor spaces in the RAD."

Constance Williams Gallery is located at 9 Riverside Drive, the middle building in the CURVE studios & garden tri-plex (right across the street from 12 Bones Smokehouse).

Open to the public seven days, both the gallery and Second Saturday shows are open every day from 11 am – 4 pm, and sometimes more!   Free.  contact: info@constancewilliamsgallery.com, 828 225 1762
